The Flexible Horseshoe
| Manufactured from Polyvinyl Chloride
(PVC) by a method of spiral extrusion. This means that it can be
adapted easily to fit all hoof sizes. The ideal solution to protect the
hooves of those horses not in work, in particular, all grass-kept horses
and ponies e.g. brood mares, retired/resting competition horses, young
stock and companion ponies in particular those with complaints such as
laminitis. Unlike traditional metal shoes and other plastic molded
shoes, Horse-slips™ are flexible which allows natural
foot expansion which in turn encourages improved circulation. The
Horse-slip™ allows the foot to expand when it comes
into contact with the ground. The shoes are non-invasive. They
eliminate the need for nails and there is no banging or burning of hot
metal onto the horn which can sometimes weaken the hoof’s structure. The
shoes are extremely lightweight – reducing the chance of injury to the
horse, other horses and the handler.
